The Operator's Edge

Startup to big tech. Every stage of the curve.

Sean Mahoney has spent 25+ years doing one thing exceptionally well: turning technology into revenue. He has taken companies from $1M to $10M and from $10M to $100M in ARR, built and led sales teams ranging from 2 to 25+, and owned the go-to-market for companies across AI, data intelligence, enterprise SaaS, ad-tech, and programmatic media. What sets him apart is range — he has operated at every stage of the curve, from zero-to-one startups through to some of the largest technology platforms on the planet.

At Meta, he was a Group Director in Global Marketing Solutions through the company's 2012 IPO — leading 20+ sales professionals across Fortune 100 accounts and personally running Procter & Gamble, then Facebook's largest global partnership, which he grew from $3M to $100M in three and a half years. He finished in the top 1% of sales performance and earned the company's Horizon Award. At Yext, he took revenue from under $500K to $5M in a single year into the 2017 IPO; at Yahoo's BrightRoll, he scaled the programmatic business from $0 to $50M in two years by integrating the technology directly into client operations.

"Revenue follows the fundamentals — the right team, the right go-to-market, and the right partnerships. Get those three in order and growth compounds."— Sean Mahoney

More recently he's been the growth engine for AI-native companies. As Chief Growth Officer at Invisibly — the AI data company founded by Square/Block co-founder Jim McKelvey — he scaled revenue 10x, from $1M to over $10M — primarily through strategic partnerships — and worked hand in hand with product, engineering, and data science to bring AI-powered solutions like synthetic audiences and predictive modeling to market. Through his firm Galway Group and advisory roles at Rivr, Quintilian, and others, he now helps founders sharpen positioning, accelerate adoption, and get their go-to-market right — the same work he brings to GTMBench engagements.

Engagement Focus

Six ways Sean drives revenue for growth-stage teams.

From go-to-market architecture to enterprise deals and IPO readiness, each engagement leaves the business with a sharper revenue engine and a clearer path to scale.

01

Go-to-market strategy & execution

Architect and run repeatable GTM playbooks — from ICP and positioning through pipeline and close — that standardise the sales cycle and scale revenue through the $1M–$10M and $10M–$100M inflection points.

02

Enterprise & consultative sales

Carry and beat multimillion-dollar quotas across full-cycle enterprise deals — owning C-suite relationships and closing multi-year contracts with Fortune 500 buyers.

03

Building & leading sales teams

Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing, nationally distributed teams — from 2 to 25+ across partnerships, business development, and customer success — and get them to quota.

04

Strategic partnerships

Forge and manage the brand and channel partnerships that open new markets — including Fortune 100 global relationships like P&G at Meta.

05

AI & data intelligence GTM

Bring frontier AI and data products to market — synthetic audiences, predictive modeling, knowledge graphs, programmatic — translating technical innovation into revenue.

06

IPO & M&A readiness

Optimise revenue and P&L for liquidity events. Two IPOs and four acquisitions of experience readying companies for the scrutiny that comes with scale.

The Full-Stack Operator

From first dollar to IPO bell.

Most revenue leaders are built for one stage. Sean has operated across all of them — the scrappy $0-to-$1M push, the $1M-to-$10M scale-up, and the enterprise machine running nine figures through a public company. That range means he reads a business quickly and knows which levers actually move revenue at your stage — whether you're an AI startup finding product-market fit or a scale-up preparing for a liquidity event.
